Nexus-Princess Ky’veza Heroic Down!

Nexus-Princess Ky’veza Heroic Down!

Gordian Knot strikes again against the Dark Nexus Cartels!
Seems like Xy’mox forgot to send the memo that we’re not to be messed with.
This one’s a treat for those who paid attention to physics in school! While the strategy for this boss becomes straightforward once learned, the fight can still become hectic and deadly if certain mechanics aren’t handled properly. So, here’s our guide to defeating Nexus-Princess Ky’veza on Heroic Difficulty.

Before the fight:

  • Place markers at the hexagonal points on the floor around Nexus-Princess Ky’veza (see raidplan image 1).
  • Establish a rule for everyone to aim their beams during Twilight Massacre, either clockwise or counterclockwise toward the next marker. Consistency is key!
  • Assign healers to cover specific spots during the intermission to ensure adequate healing coverage.

During the fight:

The fight alternates between one main phase and one intermission. After each intermission, the number of players targeted by Assassination increases, which means more rifts to manage. You’ll face three rifts in the first main phase, four in the second, and five in the third.

You’ll need to finish the fight by the third intermission, as after that, Nexus-Princess Ky’veza casts Eternal Night, blanketing the room in darkness. If the boss is low on health at this point, using immunity abilities might secure your first kill!

Watch your health closely—if it drops below 10%, Nexus-Princess Ky’veza will send one of her shadows to execute you with Reaper.

Main phase:

Important: Anyone hit by Assassination or Twilight Massacre (even if you’re not the original target) will receive Queensbane, which causes you to spawn small orbs called Dark Viscera when it expires. Make sure to stay out of the group until Queensbane drops and ensure the orbs don’t hit anyone.

  • Position the raid in the center of the room.
  • If targeted by Assassination, stand on one of the markers until you spawn a rift under your feet.
  • Tanks should position Nexus-Princess Ky’veza at a marker without a rift before she casts Nether Rift. Place her rift in a way that balances the rifts dropped by players (see raidplan image 1).
  • Use movement speed abilities like Stampeding Roar or Wind Rush Totem to counter the pull from the rifts.
  • After the pull, 3+ players (depending on the number of active Phantoms) will be targeted by Twilight Massacre. If targeted, you’ll see a red beam.
  • Run toward the Phantom your beam originates from and point it either clockwise or counterclockwise to the next marker. The Phantom will charge in that direction, creating a rift at the end of its charge. This consistent rift movement simplifies positioning (see raidplan image 2).

Intermission:

  • Spread out around Nexus-Princess Ky’veza, with ranged players moving outward to give melee and healers space to manoeuvre.
  • Stand near the lines shown in raidplan image 3 to quickly dodge Eclipse.
  • If you’re targeted by Regicide (indicated by a beam), move as little as possible to allow others to avoid your beam. Regicide hits hard, so use a personal cooldown if necessary.
  • Have a health potion or Healthstone ready—this phase involves heavy damage intake.
