Sikran Mythic Down!

Sikran Mythic Down by the best WoW Guild

First try? Oh, absolutely first try!
Ahoy, Gordian Knot! We’ve added Sikran to our list of Mythic conquests, marking our 3rd Mythic kill this tier! We’re truly on a roll this season.
This encounter is a single-phase, single-target fight—so, unlike the Bloodbound Horror, there’s no adds to manage here. The standard 2 tanks, 4 healers, and 14 DPS composition works perfectly for this fight.

Let’s dive into some of the key strategies and tips that got us through progression.

Positioning:

We decided to move Sikran in a clockwise rotation throughout the fight, while dropping Phase Blades counterclockwise (behind the boss). This helped us control the field and avoid nasty overlaps. For more detailed positioning, refer to the diagram below!

Tips & Tricks:

  1. Space Management:
Avoid parking the boss too close to previous puddles. Keep around 20–25-yard gap between the boss and old puddles to give everyone space to drop Phase Blades safely. Too little space will cause unnecessary stress and potential missteps especially later through the fight when Phase Blades and Rain of Arrows happen simultaneously
  2. Phase Blades & Rain of Arrows:
After the first Decimate, make sure your caller gives an early heads-up about the upcoming Rain of Arrows. The purple puddles will appear just as players are moving out to position Phase Blades. Reminding the raid in advance can save them from a last-second scramble!

  3. Decimate Beams:
Beams from Decimate will pierce through both the simulacrums in front and behind the target. Practice lining them up well to minimize movement and maximize DPS uptime.
  4. Missed Simulacrums? No Problem:
If some simulacrums survive before Shattering Sweep, don’t panic. Call it out early and remind the raid to pop extra personal defensive cooldowns to mitigate the additional damage.
  5. DPS Windows:
There are a couple of key moments where you can unleash significant damage. After each Shattering Sweep, you get around 15 seconds of free time to pump damage. Similarly, you’ll have another 15-second window after Sikran finishes casting one of his ability sets. Plan your cooldowns for these moments for maximum impact. Refer to the graph below to see how we optimized this during the fight!

With Sikran behind us, we are now charging full steam ahead into our next Mythic challenge. Progress is well underway, and we’ll have the next guide ready for you all ASAP.
