Imperator Averzian Mythic Down!
Imperator Averzian Mythic Down!
WoW Guild EU progression
First Mythic kill of the tier, and in a decent number of pulls, I might add.
Only one thing really changes from Heroic, and this fight is a solid transition into Mythic progression. It’s not overly complicated, but it does come with a tighter DPS check.
For Mythic, all Abyssal Voidshapers now spawn with a shield. The only way to break those shields—and kill 2 out of the 3 with Umbral Collapse—is through proper dispel management. So the name of the game is simple:

You get 6 debuffs (Void Marked). You need to dispel:
https://www.wowhead.com/spell=1280015/void-marked
- 2 on the first Voidshaper
- 2 on the second Voidshaper
- The remaining 2 can be dispelled freely or left to expire
- Have someone call out which Voidshapers you’ll be dispelling on (e.g. Moon and Middle). This also determines where the dispels will happen. Then call which 2 players will be dispelled first, and assign Healer 1 and Healer 2 to handle those dispels in order.
Example:
Tom and Jerry get the debuff → Caller says: “Dispel Tom, Dispel Jerry” → Healer 1 dispels Tom, Healer 2 dispels Jerry.
Same approach for the next set, however healer cd for dispel will not be back up in time, so Healer 3 and Healer 4 should handle the second set of dispels.
Pay close attention to the second set—give the two players assigned to the far Umbral Barrier enough time to get there before dispels go out.

Additional tips
- Make sure you always hold some form of cooldown for the Voidshaper that will not lose its shield. The DPS check to kill it before it transforms is tight.
- Do not forget your interrupts. When the rest of the adds appear, they will attempt to cast Pitch Bulwark on the Voidshaper. If that goes through, you will not kill it in time and will wipe once it transforms. https://www.wowhead.com/spell=1255702/pitch-bulwark
- Pay attention to Oblivion’s Wrath, on Mythic the void spikes return back to the boss after a while. https://www.wowhead.com/spell=1260712/oblivions-wrath
- Try, as much as possible, to keep the first row free of Void Claimed Spaces.
- Towards the end of the fight, you might run into a messy situation (see picture). When that happens:
- Call dispels quickly and clearly
- Drop a Warlock portal or use a speed boost (e.g. roar)
- Make sure the second set of players can cross the field fast enough to get under the second shield in time for dispels
- If this is your first kill and the boss is still alive by the end of the second intermission, just nuke the boss and ignore the dispel mechanic entirely. At that point, you’re effectively racing the enrage timer, which kicks in as soon as the adds become active again.
